Here are the steps to make Aptamil baby formula:
Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water.
Sterilize bottles, nipples, and other equipment by boiling them in water for 5 minutes or using a sterilizing machine.
Boil fresh drinking water and let it cool for no more than 30 minutes. The water should be no hotter than 70°C (158°F).
Check the feeding guide on the Aptamil packaging to see how much water and powder you need for your baby’s age and weight.
Pour the correct amount of water into the sterilized bottle.
Use the scoop provided with the Aptamil formula to measure the correct amount of powder. Level off the powder using the flat edge of a clean, dry knife.
Add the powder to the bottle of water.
Secure the sterilized nipple to the bottle and shake well until the powder is fully dissolved.
Test the temperature of the formula by dripping a few drops onto the inside of your wrist. It should feel warm, but not hot.
Feed your baby immediately, and discard any unused formula after 2 hours.
It’s important to always follow the instructions on the Aptamil packaging and consult with your pediatrician if you have any questions or concerns about your baby’s feeding.
